HUNTERSVILLE, N.C.– A wind gust is to blame for slamming a metal pole into a car and impaling a driver Friday night.
The accident happened at Hopewell High School stadium when part of a gate broke the headlight and entered the car.
The driver was pierced above the hip and she is in critical condition.
