City Council Votes To Broadcast Future Meetings On Facebook Live
CHARLOTTE, NC — City Council voted Monday to broadcast future meetings on Facebook Live.
Members debated for more than an hour as some expressed concern over whether the public comment section would turn into a firestorm of arguing, even among people who do not live in Charlotte.
Others say the move is part of being better connected to the public.
Council members will not respond to an comments on the live streams however.
Lawanna Mayfield, Ed Driggs, and Greg Phipps were the only three members to vote “no” on the measure.
