An article from the L.A. Times says texting while driving is just as dangerous as driving drunk, and that we need to start treating it accordingly.

152 people were killed in crashes involving a distracted driver last year in North Carolina. Nearly 25,000 were hurt. There were more than 10,000 traffic deaths involving drunk driving. That’s nearly 30% of all traffic deaths.
