Housing Homeless In Charlotte
Los Angeles City leaders have a controversial way to fix LA’s homeless problem. The City will pay Homeowners to build small houses or renovate garages in their backyards for the homeless to pay rent and live in. Back here in Charlotte, the Urban Ministry Center says, there are more than 1,400 homeless people as of last January. 55% of them are working. Some Charlotte City Council members suggest local businesses and organizations can step up and help with the city’s homeless problem.
Charlotte is going through a affordable housing crisis, would something like what’s happening in LA work here?
