Two brothers from Chesterfield County accused of having child sex abuse materials

CHESTERFIELD CO., S.C. – Two brothers from Chesterfield County are charged with sexual exploitation of a minor. The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office says the brothers are 37-year-old William Motes of Pageland and 38-year-old Bobby Motes of Ruby.

Investigators say they got a tip that first led them to William Motes. They say he had files of child sexual abuse material. They say his brother, Bobby, had AI-generated child sexual abuse material.

The two were arrested last Friday. The men are facing seven felony charges total and could spend decades in prison, if convicted.
