Authorities identify man who drowned in Lake Norman on Wednesday

CORNELIUS, N.C. – New information about the man who drowned in Lake Norman on Wednesday. Authorities are now identifying him as 40-year-old Joshua Scribben.

Search and rescue crews were called in Cornelius after Scribben went kayaking on the lake but never returned. His body was found less than an hour after the search began, without a life jacket.

Right now, there’s still no word on what might have caused Scribben to go under the water in the first place.
