The Konnected Foundation Provides A Stage For Aspiring Artists
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Handfuls of juniors and seniors will compete on the dance floor at a Charlotte school this Saturday, all for a worthy cause.
The Konnected Foundation- founded by Kevan Glover in 2012- is hosting a fundraiser, ‘Battle For A Cause’, to help get scholarships for kids in the performing arts.
The event takes place at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 19th at Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology.
Glover says there will be 10 different teams competing in creative dance, captains battles and coaches battles.
Winners will receive cash and prizes. Money raised will go to a scholarship program.
One of the foundation’s scholarship recipients, Avenue Phillips, benefited greatly from The Konnected Foundation as she has won another scholarship to go to New York City this summer in August to compete.
The Konnected Foundation provides kids dance lessons and scholarships so they can pursue their talents and skills. The organization is all about making sure arts and entertainment have an important place in the community.
