Warming trend into the weekend
Humidity levels are expected to fall into the 25–30% range, and when combined with wind gusts exceeding 20 mph, the risk for fire spread has increased. Outdoor burning is not recommended, as conditions could become hazardous quickly.
Temperatures will also start off on the cooler side. Both today and Thursday mornings may bring areas of patchy frost, especially in areas like the mountains and foothills. This morning is expected to be the coldest, offering the best chance for frost development.
As we move through the latter half of the week, a gradual transition begins. High pressure shifts offshore, allowing winds to turn more easterly and eventually southerly. This will help temperatures slowly rebound.
Skies remain mostly sunny through Friday, although a few additional clouds may begin to move in late in the day as moisture from the Atlantic starts to return.
By the end of the work week, afternoon highs will climb back into the mid to upper 70s, bringing more comfortable conditions.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the dry pattern holds steady. Both Saturday and Sunday feature a mix of sun and clouds, with temperatures warming into the mid-80s.
