Cabarrus Co. K9 alerts to nearly 80 lbs of meth during traffic stop

CABARRUS CO., N.C. – A traffic stop in Cabarrus County led to deputies seizing nearly 80 pounds of meth.

The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office says Benjamin Hernandez was stopped on April 29th for a traffic violation on Highway 49. K9 Udo alerted to possible drugs.

Hernandez was arrested and is being held under a $1 million bond. Due to his immigration status, he also has an ICE detainer.
