One more spring like day before a major heat moves in

Today brings another beautiful day across the area with plenty of sunshine and afternoon temperatures climbing into the upper 70s. The dry air remains in place too, making for a really comfortable finish to the work week.Β
As we head into the weekend, summer-like heat quickly takes over. Saturday turns much warmer with sunny skies and highs pushing into the upper 80s. By Sunday, temperatures climb into the lower 90s for many areas under mostly sunny skies, giving us our hottest weather so far this season.
The heat doesnβt back down much as we move into next week either. Monday and Tuesday are both looking very warm and humid, with highs staying near or just above 90 degrees each afternoon. While most of the time stays dry, a few isolated afternoon thunderstorms could begin popping up during the early to middle part of next week as the summertime pattern settles in.
