CHARLOTTE, N.C. — American Airlines continues to attempt to fix operational issues with regional carrier PSA Airlines, now having experienced these technical difficulties without resolve for almost 4 days.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport has released an update on the status of the airline, saying,
“We are not sure when these airline issues will be resolved and we strongly recommend that American Airlines passengers with tickets check their flight status before coming to the airport.”
Since Thursday, June 14th, the airport has been functioning under the irregular operations plan, and they plan to remain in this state until the issues with PSA and American Airlines have been resolved.
They will continue to assist stranded passengers, providing additional resources, like
“extended concession and checkpoint hours, additional aviation department support staff and making available emergency supplies to travelers including diapers, wipes and formula, blankets and pillows,” according to airport representatives.
The airport is coordinating additional ground transportation and buses to relocate those passengers stranded on planes experiencing technical issues back to the main terminal.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport continues communicating with PSA and American Airlines to help the airline resume normal operations as soon as possible.
