CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers re-signed veteran offensive lineman Brady Christensen to a one-year deal, the team announced Friday.

Christensen was drafted by the Panthers in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of BYU. He started four games last season before tearing his Achilles tendon in Week 8, ending his season. Across his five seasons with the Panthers, he’s played in 59 games and started 34.

The Panthers view Christensen as a versatile piece on the offensive line. The 29-year-old has started at all five positions for Carolina, making him a valuable piece in case any injuries pop up.

Left tackle Ikem Ekwonu suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in the Panthers’ playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He is expected to return during the 2026 season, but head coach Dave Canales is not sure exactly when.

Carolina has prioritized fortifying the offensive line this offseason. In addition to re-signing Christensen, the Panthers drafted Monroe Freeling in the first round of the 2026 draft. They also signed tackle Rasheed Walker and center Luke Fortner to one-year deals.

Training camp begins next week. Rookies will report on Tuesday with veterans arriving on Wednesday.
