Refreshing evening with clear skies

More rain move in Sunday

Tonight is a comfortable evening with mostly clear skies and light northerly winds. Temperatures will cool into the mid-60s overnight, making it perfect for an evening walk, dining outside, or even cracking open the windows.

That refreshing pattern sticks around on Thursday with wall-to-wall sunshine and afternoon highs topping out around 87 degrees. Thanks to the lower humidity and a light breeze out of the north, it will feel much more comfortable than what we normally expect this time of year. Thursday night brings another cool and quiet night with lows once again settling into the mid-60s.

We’ll wrap up the month of July on Friday with more sunshine and another warm, pleasant afternoon. High temperatures will climb into the upper 80s. Humidity will slowly begin to creep back into the region, but it shouldn’t be enough to take away from what will be another beautiful summer day. Friday night will be a little milder, with temperatures only falling to around 70 degrees under mostly clear skies.

The weekend gets off to a fantastic start. Saturday features a mix of sunshine and passing clouds with afternoon highs in the upper 80s. Most of the day looks dry, so outdoor plans should have no problem. By Saturday evening, the pattern begins to shift as moisture increases ahead of our next weather system. A few isolated showers or thunderstorms could develop late evening, but many communities will stay dry through much of the evening.

Looking ahead, Sunday appears to be the most active day of the weekend. It will bring a better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. At this point the biggest activity with this next weather maker comes in just after 2pm and will continue into Monday. Stay tuned!
