CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A person was shot and sent to the hospital in northeast Charlotte early Monday morning.
Officers with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department were called around 4:30 a.m. to the 1900 block of Interface Lane near the Autumn Park Apartments in the University area where a person was located with a gunshot wound.
Medic says the victim was transported to CMC with life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the shooting.
