Search Underway For Suspect Who Robbed Huntersville Waffle House

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A man is on the loose after police say he robbed a Waffle House in Huntersville early Wednesday.

Police with the Huntersville Police Department were called around 4:15 a.m. to the Waffle House on Statesville Road.

According to authorities, the suspect entered the restaurant, robbed the business with a handgun and took money from the register.

The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to the officer’s arrival. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 30s with a straight, longer-than-shoulder black wig. He was wearing a light colored fitted hard, gold framed glasses, a light gray hoodie and blue jeans.
