CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Gourmet sandwich shop Jimmy John’s announced a data breach at 216 stores, including one in Charlotte.
The South Tryon location says customers who swiped their card in-store between June 17 and August 3 could be at risk.
Shoppers who used their card online should not be affected. Stolen information includes card numbers, cardholder names, verification codes and expiration dates.
The company is offering free credit monitoring services to those who believe they were affected.
Jimmy John’s says an intruder stole company log-in credentials. The business apologizes for any inconvenience this incident has on their customers. For the full release and a list of the stores involved, click here.
