Chick-fil-A Will No Longer Donate To Anti-LGBTQ Organizations

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Chick-fil-A is making major changes after announcing they are ending donations to two organizations that have been criticized for being anti-LGBTQ.

The announcement came Monday morning and Chick-fil-A has been trending on social media ever since.  Two of the organizations that will no long receive donations from the fast food chain include the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Chick-fil-A announced Monday that they gave $1.65M to the FCA and $115,000 to The Salvation Army in 2018.  See more details HERE.

Moving forward, Chick-fil-A said they will work exclusively with organizations that focus on education, homelessness and hunger.  They made this statement on the Chick-fil-A Foundation website:

“Moving forward, with a continued eye on nourishing the potential in every child, we are narrowing our corporate giving to three critical needs facing children in our communities: education, homelessness and hunger. The Chick-fil-A Foundation will deepen our giving to a smaller number of organizations working exclusively in these areas. The Foundation is committed to investing in the building blocks for a healthy future by ensuring the youth in our communities have a roof over their heads, food in their stomachs and an education that prepares them for the world they will face.”
