Pacers have George for tonight…Blackhawks hope to have Shaw…Rosberg wins Monaco pole

MIAMI (AP) β€” When the Pacers play the Heat in Miami tonight they will have Paul George available to play. He suffered a concussion in the second game of the series and had to clear NBA concussion protocol before being cleared to play in Game 3. The series is tied at one win apiece.

LOS ANGELES (AP) β€” Tonight’s NHL playoff game is in Los Angeles as the Kings entertain the Blackhawks. Following the first two games in Chicago the best-of-seven Western Conference final is tied at 1-1. Chicago hopes to have forward Andrew Shaw back in the line-up. He’s missed the last seven games with a lower body injury.

MONACO (AP) β€” One of the most glamorous events in motor sports takes place tomorrow in Monte Carlo. It’s the Monaco Grand Prix and today the pole was won by Nico (NEE’-koh) Rosberg of Mercedes. His teammate Lewis Hamilton, the winner of the last four F1 races, was the second-fastest qualifier.

WASHINGTON (AP) β€” Despite recent criticism of the team’s name, Washington Redskins President Bruce Allen says in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that the NFL team’s nickname is “respectful” toward Native Americans. Earlier this week half the U.S. Senate urged NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell (guh-DEHL’) to change the club’s name because they feel it is a racist slur.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) β€” The early third-round clubhouse lead in the PGA’s Colonial tournament is held by Kevin Chappell. He shot a 7-under 63 today to stand 6-under for the tournament. The midway leader, Brice Garnett, is early in his round.
