TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) β€” Qualifying is taking place today for tomorrow’s Sprint Cup race at Talladega. At the end of the race, the bottom four of the 12 remaining drivers in the Chase field will be cut. Among those in jeopardy are Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. who all likely need a win to make it into the next round.

Andrew Friedman was introduced as the Dodgers new president of baseball operations yesterday and quickly announced that Mattingly will return. “Donnie Baseball”, who led the team to the NL West title this past season, has two years left on a three-year contract.
