CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Atrium Health’s Dr. Mohamed Salem will discuss the signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer on Monday, August 31st at 12 p.m. after the death of “Black Panther” actor Chadwick Boseman, according to a news release.
Boseman died on Friday, August 28th of colorectal cancer at the age of 43, according to a news release.
Dr. Salem says he will talk about current treatments and novel therapies available to men and women diagnosed with this type of cancer.
Atrium Health is launching a new program this fall to offer emotional and physical support to those affected by colorectal cancer, cancer that starts in the colon or rectum, according to Dr. Salem.
