GASTONIA, N.C. — An elderly man has died following a stabbing that happened in Gastonia Wednesday morning, police say.
Police were dispatched to Log Cabin Drive, off of Lowell Road, around 8:55 a.m. in response to the fatal stabbing.
The victim has been pronounced dead, police say.
Neighbors say a family member stabbed the elderly man. Police now have the suspect who is a relative in custody.
The investigation is actively underway.
