Man on the Edge: Gas Prices VS Ebola

 It’s hard to believe, but you don’t have to look too hard to find gas selling at less than $3 these days!  In fact, the average in Charlotte is $2.98!  Just a week ago, AAA pointed out that gas has dropped nearly 20 cents in the past month.  It’s good news that we want you to make a comparative prediction about.

To set things up, we have to point out that Ebola has been in the news every single day since late July.  Some of it has been the stuff that media types hype up to have something to talk about.  But obviously, there are legitimate Ebola stories in the news.

Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security cracked down on travelers coming from Ebola-hit countries in West Africa, limiting the airports where they enter the country.  The World Health Organization now thinks we’ll know about an Ebola vaccine by December.  And with so many people who had been under observation being cleared, the panic seems to be subsiding.  And when panic subsides, stories often fall out of the news cycle.  

Which means you could get a break and have an entire day free from any new Ebola stories.  But will that happen before gasoline drops another 10 cents?  Our Man on the Edge, Robert Wilder, put that timely question to the people…
