CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Again this year our own oversized leprechaun, Wilson, will dress in his best St. Paddy’s Day green to hit the streets of Uptown to celebrate Charlotte’s 19th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Charlotte Goes Green Festival.  So to get us in the mood for the party he brought together a lot of his Irish friends to preview all of the fun on the big green day.

This year’s event kicks off this Saturday, March 14th.  The parade begins at 11:00am Uptown at Tryon and 9th Streets.  The parade continues south to 3rd St. where it takes a left and marches down 3rd St. to Caldwell.

The Festival which begins at 10:00am and runs until 6:00pm is located on S. Tryon Street between 3rd St. and Stonewall St. and again this year Wilson will be the entertainment stage emcee.
