Sunshine Here for Good Time, Not Long Time
Despite sunny skies carrying into Monday afternoon, temperatures likely won't escape the 40s and 50s this week.
After a beautiful snow north and west of the Metro, we’re back to business as usual as we head into the second week of February. High pressure will build in from the north over the next day or so, allowing for continued sunshine, but will also stunt any warmth as temperatures remain right around average in the 40s and 50s. A weak disturbance sweeping north from the Gulf may provide a few shower chances both Tuesday and Wednesday, but clouds will be the bigger story as the middle portion of the week arrives. Things will really get messy by the second half of the week, as a series of rainmaking systems will move through the Carolinas, which could lead to some wintry weather next weekend into early next week. Stay tuned!
