Police: One Man Shot, Convenience Store Damaged After Multiple Shootings In Lancaster, S.C.

LANCASTER, S.C. — Police are investigating multiple shootings that occurred in Lancaster, South Carolina late Thursday night into Friday morning.

Officers say they responded to the first shooting in this series at 10:45 p.m. on April 22nd on Clinton Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found one man who was shot while sitting in his vehicle and say a house nearby had also been struck by gunfire.

Police say the gunshot victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries following the shooting.

Officers say the second shooting in this series occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on April 22nd on Chesterfield Avenue.

Police say multiple vehicles were hit, and two windows were shot out at a Discount Beverage convenience store as well as damage was done to the interior of the building.

No one was injured in the second shooting, according to a news release.

On Friday April 23rd around 1:30 a.m., officers say they responded to the third shooting in this series near the area of Lynwood Drive and Kennel Lane.

Witnesses say someone in a silver vehicle started to follow them before firing shots at them.

There were also no injuries reported in this shooting, according to police.

The investigation into this series of shootings remains active and ongoing.
