Four People Found Shot to Death After Apparent Explosion in Lenoir
LENOIR, N.C. – Four people were found shot to death after an apparent explosion at a home in Lenoir on Wednesday morning.
Investigators are still working to determine how it all started.
Police say there is no danger to the community, and this is not a random act of violence.
“I mean it’s terrible. And it’s kinda scary,” says Lenoir resident Tesla McNeil.
The crime startled neighbors living at the end of a steep gravel road.
Firefighters put out flames to find the bodies on Laurel Place NW around 9:30 in the morning.
No names have been released, but investigators say they found the bodies of two men ages 58 and 29 – and two teens – ages 15 and 18 – both female.
“What would make somebody wanna just kill people? And I just… there’s nothing in me, my worst enemy that would make me want to kill somebody,” McNeil says.
