Tropical Storm Elsa Heading Toward the Carolinas

Elsa is racing toward the Carolinas and will be just east of Charlotte Thursday morning. Rain is our primary threat with Elsa as totals will be highest along and east of I-85. There will be a sharp cut-off from 0.5” to 2”+. This rain will fall quickly from 5 am to 1 pm which could mean a messy morning commute tomorrow – BE CAREFUL. Rain will turn isolated to widely scattered after noon. A typical summertime pattern dominates Friday and the weekend ahead.

There is a Flash Flood Watch until 6 PM Thursday for Stanly, Anson and Richmond counties.
