Joe Duncan loves telling interesting stories about everyday people. Working in television news was his childhood dream. He comes to WCCB Charlotte from WGHP FOX8 in High Point. While there, Joe was a morning show producer creating entertaining newscasts and content, writing packages and booking guests for different segments.
Joe grew up in Statesville, N.C. and is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University where he received his degree in Mass Communication. During his studies he hosted a radio show on the campus radio station, WSNC-FM 90.5. He also anchored the news on Ram-TV and covered major local stories and interviewed celebrities visiting the university.
Joe loves fashion and is a huge music fan who loves to sing. You can usually catch him humming a tune around the newsroom. He is an extremely picky eater and not a huge lover of pets. Since arriving at WCCB, that is changing. Co-workers have gotten him to try a taco for the first time and he has become friendly with Lauren McDonaldβs dog, βOtie.β
Joe is excited to step in front of the camera and bring positive stories about people, places and things to RISING and welcomes all of your story ideas.
