Paul Millsap had 25 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Hawks, who shot 51 percent from the field and were 13 of 32 on their 3-point attempts. Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll each had 20 points for the Hawks, who will host the first two games of their next series against Washington.

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan vowed to wind up with 10 picks in his first draft with the team, and after taking three players, he enters Day 3 with seven more selections.

TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) — Roush Fenway Racing teammates Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Greg Biffle led the way in yesterday's two practice sessions at Talladega Superspeedway. Stenhouse turned in the fastest lap at 200.780 mph in the first session Friday. Biffle went 197.859 to pace the second session.

NEW YORK (AP) — Paul Millsap had 25 points, nine rebounds and six assists as the Atlanta Hawks ripped the Nets 111-87 in Brooklyn to advance to the NBA's Eastern Conference semifinals against Washington. Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll each had 20 points for the Hawks, who grabbed control of the game by outscoring the Nets 41-21 in the third period. Atlanta shot 51 percent from the field, including 13 of their 32 3-point attempts.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Ian Kennedy pitched six solid innings and the San Diego Padres broke a three-game losing streak by thumping the Colorado Rockies, 14-3, on Friday night.
