A record-long streak of U.S. job growth ended suddenly in March after nearly a decade as employers cut 701,000 jobs because of the viral outbreak that’s all but shut down the U.S. economy. The unemployment rate jumped to 4.4% from a 50-year low of 3.5%.

Nurse At Mecklenburg County Juvenile Detention Center Tests Positive For COVID-19

The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office contracts with Wellpath, LLC to provide healthcare services to our residents at both our main Detention Center Central as well as our Juvenile Detention Center (formerly known as Detention Center North). YMCA Of Greater Charlotte Offers Free Childcare For Healthcare Workers

The YMCA of Greater Charlotte, which recently announced the temporary closure of all 19 of its branches and two overnight camps due to the global coronavirus pandemic, has temporarily refocused its efforts to serve frontline healthcare staff and to support YMCA employees impacted by this crisis. The Y will offer free childcare for essential Atrium Health and Novant Health employees at nine branches and has started an Emergency Staff Relief Fund to help staff furloughed as a result of the closures.
