Another 90 degree day with bright sunny skies

Tuesday morning starts off warm and fairly muggy with mainly clear skies and temperatures climbing to the 60s early in the day. You’ll notice the summer-like feel right away as humidity levels continue to build. By this afternoon, expect another hot day with plenty of sunshine and highs nearing 90 degrees. When you combine the heat with the humidity, it will feel even warmer during the peak afternoon hours. Make sure to stay hydrated and keep the sunscreen nearby because UV levels will be very high

Dark, Damp Start to Workweek

Clouds and showers will begin moving over the WCCB Charlotte viewing area early Monday morning, setting up for what should be a cool and wet day. Highs will struggle to get out of the mid-60s in the Piedmont and some 40s are even possible in the High Country.

Cristobal Weakens To Tropical Depression, Rains Persist

Cristobal weakened to a tropical depression Monday morning, after crashing ashore as a lopsided tropical storm a day prior in Louisiana and ginned up dangerous weather farther east, sending waves crashing over Mississippi beaches, swamping parts of an Alabama island town and spawning a tornado in Florida.

Outbreak Means New Challenges For SC Hurricane Preparations

South Carolina has already been affected by one named storm before the official start of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season, but state and county officials say this year’s preparations have been a bit different thanks to the unique challenges presented by the coronavirus outbreak.
