Scattered storms and rain move in Thursday afternoon

By Thursday, summer-like heat makes a comeback. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the lower 90s with a mix of sun and clouds. As the day heats up, the atmosphere will become increasingly unstable, setting the stage for scattered thunderstorms to develop during the late afternoon and evening hours. Most of the day looks dry, but by late afternoon our next storm moves in. Any storm that develops could produce brief heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and gusty winds.
