SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Memphis point guard Mike Conley has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable for Game 2 of the NBA Western Conference semifinal against Golden State tonight. Conley has missed the last three games recovering from surgery to repair broken bones in his face. Coach Dave Joeger (YAY’-gur) says if Conley can play, he will start.

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) — Cleveland’s LeBron James says he may have to be more aggressive in Wednesday’s Game 2 of the playoff series against Chicago. Playing without injured forward Kevin Love and suspended guard J.R. Smith, the Cavaliers lost the opener of the series at home last night. Cleveland coach Dave Blatt is considering lineup changes for Game 2.

NEW YORK (AP) — Bartolo Colon looks to join teammate Matt Harvey as a five-game winner when the Mets host Baltimore in the first of a two-game interleague series. The 41-year old Colon is off to a 4-1 start this season with a 3.31 ERA.

MIAMI (AP) — The Miami Marlins have released catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia (sahl-tah-lah-MAH’-kee-ah), making him a free agent. The move came eight days after Saltalamacchia was designated for assignment. He signed a three-year, $21 million dollar contract before the 2014 season, but played poorly last year and lost his starting job this season.

UNDATED (AP) — Isiah Thomas is the new president of the WNBA’s New York Liberty and will have an ownership stake in the team. He will again be working for Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan.
