UNC Wilmington uses big 4th inning to roll past Tulane 10-1

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Ryan Foster scattered eight hits in a complete-game victory, and UNC Wilmington used a seven-run fourth inning to rout Tulane 10-1 on Friday night in the Baton Rouge Regional.

UNCW (40-16) advanced to take on LSU on Saturday, while Tulane (34-24) will take on Lehigh in an elimination game.

Already leading 2-0, UNCW used seven hits, a throwing error and a wild pitch to take control in the fourth. Steven Linkous, Zach Shields, Gavin Stupienski, Corey Dick and Luke Dunlap all had RBI singles in the inning for the Seahawks.

Foster (7-1) allowed only one run, while Patrick Duester (7-6) gave up seven runs and six hits in 3 2/3 innings for Tulane.
