CHICAGO (AP) — The Netherland’s King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima found some time to have fun during their visit to Chicago.
MLive.com reports (http://bit.ly/1Qu3baw ) the Dutch king and queen surprised local house and dance music fans by joining some disc jockeys on stage during a mini-concert. at Millennium Park on their last evening in the U.S. Tuesday.
The show followed a techno dance music masterclass offered by the School of House, a new Dutch education platform for the dance industry.
The visit followed a business dinner with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
It was Willem-Alexander’s first official U.S. visit since becoming king in 2013. The trip began Monday in Washington with a meeting with President Barack Obama and a stop at Arlington National Cemetery. The visit also included stops in Michigan.
