Rapper Pusha T denied entry to nightclub, claims racism

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Hip-hop artist Pusha T says he was denied entry into a Virginia Beach nightclub because he’s black, though the club’s attorney says the allegations are untrue and the rapper is just seeking attention.

Terrence Thornton, who goes by Pusha T, decried Venue 112 as racist on Twitter and Instagram because he was kept out while white people behind him in line were let in early Tuesday morning. Thornton has roughly a million followers on Twitter.

Venue 112 attorney Kevin Martingayle says the club has a guest list with more than 600 people on it that it uses to allow only regulars in when it gets crowded. Martingayle says pictures on social media show black people were in the club the night in question.
