FTC launches inquiry on tech censorship
CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Federal Trade Commission wants to know if you’ve been censored online. The agency launched a public inquiry to understand how tech platforms deny access to users. When it’s based on speech or affiliations, it may violate the law. The FTC points out that some platforms cut users off without giving them n ability to appeal the action. Anyone who this has happened to is encouraged to submit a report to the FTC. You have until May 21st, 2025 to do so.
