Warrant says substitute teacher threatened kids

A substitute teacher in Calhoun County, South Carolina is facing charges after she allegedly threatened a classroom of students.

Dejuan Fludd appeared in court for a bond hearing on Friday.Β

According to court documents, she allegedly made the second graders stand for a long period of time while using profanity. Some of the students claimed she also said, β€œI would shoot you if I could.”

Court documents say Fludd admitted to making the comments, but said she was just joking.

β€œBut hopefully the students are able to get the therapy and help that they need,” attorney Justin Bamberg said. β€œEvery student deserves to feel safe at school.”

Fludd has been charged with 18 counts of unlawfully placing a child at risk. She was released on a $180,000 personal recognizance bond.
