Alexander Youth Network hosts first career fair for its students

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Students at Alexander Youth Network participated in an interactive career day experience on Thursday. The organization provides mental health treatment for children and young adults. They say, for many, it’s the first time they’ve gotten an up-close look at different careers and a chance to see themselves in the future.

Charlotte professionals set up stations showing off the tools of their trade. Alexander Youth Network’s Courtney Hayes says, “Really, really important to expose our students to these types of experiences early so that they know exactly what they may want to do.”

This was the first time Alexander Youth Network has hosted a career fair. They hope to make it an annual event.
