LANCASTER, S.C. — Police are searching for a man accused of injuring two officers in Lancaster while fleeing the scene of an accident. Β
Investigators say 19-year-old Tyzhe Hough is wanted for attempted murder and several other charges.Β
He was allegedly involved in a traffic accident on Sunday afternoon on S. Market Street and Chesterfield Avenue. Β Hough was ordered to exit his car after an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Β Hough refused and proceeded to drive away from the scene. Β
Police say he struck two officers in the process. Β One of the officers was able to get into his vehicle and pursue Hough. Β The suspect eventually lost control of his vehicle and crashed on Beacon Road. Β
Officers say Hough then ran from the scene of the second crash on foot. Β Police were unsuccessful in locating him. Β
Anyone with information about Hough’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately. Β Both officers were treated and released from the hospital. Β
