OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) β€” An Oklahoma County judge says he won’t order a contested high school football playoff game to be replayed.

Judge Bernard Jones said in an order Thursday, “there is neither statute nor case law allowing this court discretion to order the replay of a high school football game.”

An improperly enforced penalty in the Nov. 28 3A quarterfinal erased a touchdown that would have put Douglass ahead with 64 seconds left. Locust Grove won 20-19. Douglass appealed to the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association, but it was declined.

The OSSAA scheduled the 3A semifinal between Locust Grove and Heritage Hall for Friday night.

It also said a full statement would come later Thursday. Douglass High School referred questions to Oklahoma City Public Schools, which didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
