NY Teen Dies From ‘FireChallenge’

BUFFALO, NY– A 15-year-old teen died after trying to participate in the “FireChallenge” seen on Facebook.

The #FireChallenge tempts people to cover their bodies in an accelerant and then set themselves on fire.

The teen identified as James Shores was badly burned to death after attempting the challenge with  friends by his side.

People who claim to have tried this dangerous challenge usually do so near a shower or water in case the fire spreads, but in Shores case, who doused himself in alcohol and set ablaze by his friends, was not near a shower and suffered the consequences.

Friends who were around him tried to battle the flames but were unsuccessful and Shores later died from his injuries.

Facebook is doing their part by deleting all #FireChallege videos off of their website.
