Police have released the name of the victim who was killed in an early morning shooting Wednesday on Annlin Avenue in south Charlotte.
Raquan Smith, 19, died from his injuries on February 23. It is believed that Smith and the shooter knew each other.
A juvenile has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, but their name has been withheld due to being a minor. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Department is investigating the shooting as a homicide.
This is still an ongoing investigation.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A south Charlotte shooting left a man suffering from life-threatening injuries early Wednesday morning, according to police.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to Annlin Avenue, off of Scaleybark Road, shortly before 3 a.m. after receiving an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call for service.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Medic transported the unidentified victim to Atrium Main with life threatening injuries.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
