MINT HILL, NC — A 17-year-old male is recovering after being shot outside a home on Brookwood Valley Lane.
Police say the shooting occurred around seven o’clock yesterday evening on the 7700 block of Brookwood Valley Lane. They say it appears to be the result of a fight that occurred outside the home between the victim and suspects.
When police arrived they found the 17-year-old victim with an apparent gunshot wound, but say the suspects had fled the scene. The teen was conscious and alert when police arrived and his injuries did not appear to be serious. He was transported to CMC Main for treatment.
Other residents were inside the home, but were uncooperative with police at the time. Officials say one person was arrested from the residence, but it was on warrants for an unrelated matter.
