Wilson’s World: Tega Cay PD Polar Plunge

Wilson was with the officers from Tega Cay PD as they prepare for this weekend's Polar Plunge for Special Olympics.

TEGA CAY, S. C. –  Wilson was at Lake Wylie this morning with officers from the Tega Cay Police Department to preview this Saturday’s Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics.

Tega Cay Mayor George Sheppard, Sue Maner of the Special Olympics of S.C., members of the Tega Cay PD,  and a few jedi knights joined Wilson at the lake.  They talked with Wilson about the event, the reason behind the event and what everyone just might expect this Saturday.  Students from Tega Cay Elementary, Nations Ford High and Fort Mill High Schools will also enjoy a little lively competition during the plunge.

The event includes breakfast and coffee, a cornhole tournament as well as a costume contest before the plunge at 12 noon.  To find out more about this weekend’s Polar Plunge click HERE.
