CHARLOTTE, NC — One person is dead after flipping their car yesterday afternoon on Pavilion Boulevard.
Police say 20-year-old Christine Hilton was heading toward North Tryon Street on Pavilion Boulevard when she ran off the right side of the road into a culvert. Hilton then became airborn and flipped the car onto its roof.
Medic pronounced Hilton dead on the scene.
Investigators say Hilton was driving a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and was not wearing her seatbelt.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident. Officials do not yet know if alcohol or texting may have contributed to the accident.
