CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has released the name of the man killed in west Charlotte just before midnight Wednesday.
Police say 41-year-old Donnell Drakeford was found in his home on Ridgevalley Drive around 11:58pm Tuesday suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic was called to the scene and pronounced him dead a short time later.
Police are searching the area for more evidence. No arrests have been made at this time and no word has been given on a suspect.
