Belmont Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — Belmont Police say two suspects accused of an armed robbery on Monday have been arrested by CMPD.

Belmont officials say Carlos Jones, 20, and Neopolian Robinson, 24, robbed a Verizon Wireless Store on West Wilkinson Boulevard around 10:30pm. According to reports, the two men robbed the employee at gun point and took off with several phones and cash.

Officials say CMPD arrested Jones and Robinson a short time later after a brief pursuit in Charlotte.

Jones is charged with armed robbery and second degree kidnapping.

Robinson is charged with armed robbery, second degree kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a stolen firearm.
