Lovin’ Life Music Festival Kicks Off In Uptown

UPTOWN – Music fans are ready for a weekend of fun at the Lovin’ Life music festival in Uptown. One fan travelled all the way from Ohio for the festivities.

“It was literally last minute,” said Jamie Nowak. “I think it was like Monday we purchased our tickets and just made the spontaneous decision to come here.”

Post Malone headlines the first night of the festival, followed by Stevie Nicks on Saturday and Noah Kahan on Sunday. Dozens of other artists are making an appearance this weekend like Charlotte’s very own DaBaby, Chainsmokers, and The Beach Boys.

Not only is this first of its kind festival making an impact on fans, but it’s also leaving its mark on businesses in Uptown.

Damon Moore owns The Paddy Wagon food truck. He parked it just outside the entrance to the festival, already seeing dozens of customers on Friday.

“Bringing generating money for the businesses down here is an amazing thing to to keep everything open and vibrant and live,” said Moore. “It’s just a beautiful thing. And I’m glad that guys are coming down and patronizing the festival. And these business owners.”

He parked in on the property of the sugar lounge, owned by his friend Joe French. French tells me he’s so thankful for the festival that’s set up just outside his front door.

“Are you kidding me? They’re going to make tons of money and just welcoming the people into this city to enjoy themselves for three full days,” said French.
