CHARLOTTE, NC — One person has died after a fiery accident in South Charlotte.
According to officials, the accident happened around 6:15 pm on the I-485 outer loop approaching Johnston Road. Troopers say the motorcyclist was riding on the busy road when a pickup truck in front of him abruptly stopped. The rider lost control and slid into the back of the truck. The motorcycle burst into flames killing the man on scene.
Officials say the man was riding with a group but no one else was injured.
The victim’s name has not been released at this time.
